York

Cami- New Look, Jeans- Motel Rocks, Kimono- Band of Gypsies (via Asos),
Necklace- Miss Selfridge, Shoes- Superga, Bag- Longchamp

On Tuesday, my friend, Niamh, and I went on a day trip up to York. We visited the typical tourist places such as The Shambles and York Minster but the true highlight of the trip was going to a bistro called Oscar's which had THE best nachos ever! Oh how I love food! After eating, my jeans literally felt like they were going to burst but I still couldn't resist having an ice cream.

We also did a bit of shopping around some of the cute, unique shops and also some vintage shops but I didn't see anything that caught my eye. York is such a lovely place and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for some place nice to visit on a day trip!

Have you ever been to York?

Holy Chic

Top- Primark, Shorts- Topshop, Sunglasses- Ray-ban

Normally, it makes me cringe when I see people wearing slogan tshirts like 'geek' or 'preppy' but I am obsessed with the caviar beading on this tee! I love the quirky pun on it as well- I haven't really seen any like this in other shops. The tshirt is just an oversized white tshirt with rolled up sleeves so it's very versatile and can be dressed up or down. Perfect.

Are you going to go grab this tee anytime soon?

Lightbulb

Beanie- Primark

This beanie makes me feel like a neon pink light bulb. The neon-ness of the beanie is so bright and pretty; these photos really don't do it justice! I came across this the other day in good ol' Primark and I couldn't believe it. I've been waiting to buy a neon pink beanie for agesssss but unwilling to fork out £15+ for one in Topshop or Asos. The quality of this beanie is really good too and the fabric is really thick. For £2, I just couldn't resist.

Would you wear a neon beanie?

London- Day 2

Dress- Topshop, Kimono- Band of Gypsies (via Asos), Bag- Longchamp, Shoes- Dr Martens

On the second day, my friends and I walked around London in the morning and whilst acting like typical tourists, we took pictures of everything. We then went to the Sea Life Aquarium with my college group and afterwards, we had the afternoon to explore London! We went to Camden market which I was a bit disappointed with because I thought there would be more vintage shops instead of market stalls...  (pretty stupid of me!) After that, we went to Oxford Street and went to Selfridges for Pinkberry and shopped around in Topshop, H&M, Zara etc. We then made our way to the Queen's Theatre to meet the rest of the college group to watch Les Miserables. It was really good but I felt that I didn't enjoy it as much as I could since I was exhausted from shopping all day.

I enjoyed the trip to London so much but I just wish that we were there for a bit longer. There were so many other places I wanted to go but didn't have time such as Brick Lane and Portobello Road! Visiting London reminded me how much I love it and I definitely want to go to London for university!

What do you think of London?

London- Day 1

Top-Topshop, Skirt- H&M, Kimono- Band of Gypsies (via Asos), Shoes- Converse

As you probably have noticed, I got my hair cut!! I had 10 inches cut off last Saturday; when I told the hairdresser how short I wanted it, she actually said, "Oh my god!" I wanted it short so that it would be easier to manage in the summer and I was just bored of my long hair. Alexa Chung is my hair inspiration and I asked for mine to be cut like hers.

Anyways, I came back from a 2 day trip to London with my college as part of 'enrichment'. On the first day, we travelled by coach for half the day and in the evening, we had a meal at Prezzo. Afterwards, we went to see 'Wicked', the musical, at the Apollo Victoria theatre. The storyline was a bit confusing but I really enjoyed it!

Cute as.. whaaaat?

Top- Minkpink (via Asos), Flower headband- gift from friend, Necklace- Topshop

OH MY... how cute is this top?! This top has been on wishlist ever since I saw it on Cara Delevingne on my Tumblr dashboard. You could even say it was love at first sight. Anyways, about a week ago, I couldn't believe my luck when I saw it on the Asos website and it was 30% off as well! The rest is history... This has become my favourite top and the pattern is just so adorable and the slogan is so *badass* (cringe!) It goes so well with the flower headband that my friend got me for my birthday.

The only thing that I'm still wondering about is whether it's appropriate for college. In the end, it's insinuating a swear word and I do go to a Catholic college. Hmm...

What do you think?
Should I wear it regardless?

The Birth of a Blog

Hello! This is my first blog post, so I'm not quite sure what to say, just going to go with the flow... my name is Sophia, I'm 17 years old and I live in Manchester, UK. I'm currently in my first year of college, studying A levels.

I've been reading blogs for a few years, so I thought it was about time I started my own. I'm thinking of doing mostly outfit posts but there might be some other things on here too.
